eros the bittersweet

savage light | poem nine

to touch what is
mortal and
to understand what is
divine
to seek a fantasy
and to find reality
in your hands
my weaknesses dissolve
the ashes striking
the ground
filled with arid soil
only to be inebriated
by your graceful
tears.
